I use the lightest guides and wraps possible for the job at hand, to squeeze out every last drop of rod performance. I can super-tune your guide layout to the specific reel that you'll be using. Try a spiral-wrap guide layout on your next casting rod, and you may never go back to a conventional "guides-on-top" setup again. Grip materials include cork and burl cork, EVA, and carbon-skinned urethane foam cores that are lighter than cork, but extremely tough and durable. Wood reel seat inserts are local Upstate New York hardwoods like cherry, walnut, and tiger maple. All my grips are made right here one at a time, and are sized from your hand measurements, to fit you just like a glove.
